It’s very well balanced across the channels (I think it’s called summing) and the filters are really smooth.

Probably due to design and parts used to build.

@gcw better quality circuitry & less crap in the signal path- low-distortion, shitloads of headroom. As Cyril says, all of which means much more capable summing, ie.when you have 2 (or more) channels up, its has much better capacity to ‘sum’ them into a single, stereo output without redlining and generally sounding shitty when played loud.

Plus, mixing with the HPF is lush… you won’t want to go back to EQ’s once you get used to it.

Anyone use those MasterSounds record weights? Worth it from a sound quality perspective, or just for porter drinking chin strokers?

Also, do they affect mixing at all ? Pushing/pulling tracks via the label is a goner. Do you use the weight itself to push/pull?

I don’t use those particular ones, but I do have a similar one. They do work - especially on records that have a bit of a warp in them. It doesn’t really change how you mix, but I don’t touch them when they’re on the record.

Has landed. In absolute mint condition.

Complete with full instruction manual, in Japanese, a paper crane, a sachet that could be something like tea (or maybe crack), and a Japanese plug 🤦‍♂️

Bastards will be getting a no-star review off me!

Other than that, well pleased with. Assuming it works once I’ve sourced the right adapter!

Will be getting onto @bosstrabs to decipher the instructions for me!
