i’ve only seen howells live 3 times, but he’s always been amazing. maybe helps he’s been in small rooms each time? i’m a bigger fan of his warm up stuff and his house-ier sets than when he bangs it out, but i’m hard pressed to think of a dj i’ve seen who’s been better technically.

There was one time where he was booked to play this tiny venue called Anu in SF. Due to wildfires he couldn’t get a flight from LA. Drove up. Was very late, obviously, but when he got there he smashed the room. Just smashed it. His bigger room sets never worked for me. But stick him in the side room with a crowd who’s all in and he’s one of the best there is.

I’m amazed Howells has never been ‘The Biggest DJ in the World’ at some point. Never seen a bad set from him, always smashes it. Would go and see him ahead of an awful lot of other Djs.

If RA had their poll back in 02-04 I bet he would’ve come out on top.

The Howler looks like he could do with a medium rare Rib Eye.

Rib-eye should always cooked medium or at worst medium well. Helps melt the fat which is an important part of the flavour. Not that I eat meat any more myself.

Another vote for Fundacion. What an absolutely awful experience that was. Got luzzed straight in the bin. Crap.

      More Ableton noodling

another vote for tenaglia london and fundacion. will also throw in transitions 2, digweed fabric, magda balance and burridge balance
