rhouses I used to live near both a decade ago and go fairly regularly. Both ace.

Unlike Blain I slightly preferred Lahore, but only cos although the food was equally good in both, Tayyabs would get hideously rammed while Lahore seemed a bit more civilised.

In the last 10 years been going to Needoo Grill round the corner. Was originally opened by one of the chefs from Tayyabs. Used to go a few times a month for a couple of years. Mixed grill starters were superb

Noooooo..please tell this isn’t so? The other night I had roast salmon with mash and asparagus and every single mouthful tasted the same. Like a generic school dinner out of the pressure cooker.
Last night I just had plain rice with black sesame seeds I’m so fucking sick of trying to eat.
Funnily enough I was watching a prog about Michael Hutchens the other week and his family said they believed the thing that contributed to his suicide as much as anything (if it was indeed suicide) was him completely losing his sense of taste and smell after being punched from behind on a night out. They said this was the biggest source of his depression for most of the time as food and wine were his biggest passion aside of music. It never came back either. Grim.
