zackster Veering somewhat away from tradition with the poached downlighter there.
mono-stereo Despite not wanting to give that walking mullet my money, I’ve eaten the ocasional Wetherspoons breakfast in Gatwick. Below avarage but generally worth it for the people watching who (depending on which terminal you’re in) tend to be absolute scum.
My favourite is Terminal 3 at Manchester. There is sort of a circular bar area in the middle full of 40-somethings with their grotty birds ploughing English breakfasts and pints of Stella into their necks in Burnley football shirts at 7am, which happens to be right next to the departure gate for the LHR shuttle. Nice visual juxtaposition with the line of dedicated long-haul travellers/businessmen.
Just had a 7 rasher bacon sandwich on two slices of multi-seed soft wholemeal farmhouse.
It was absolutely magnificent.
The roughage in the wholemeal bread will surely offset the arse cancer potential from that much bacon.
mono-stereo Gatwick North? Jesus wept - it’s like a motorway service station in there.
Along_the_Wire Yeah it’s bleak. Once was enough. I dont mind the other terminal.
The Red Lion in Gatwick North.
Where dreams are made.
Smallman1 Gatwick South is a far superior terminal. The Spoons in there (Flying Horse I think?) has a far better class of idiot…
Everyone is so focused on the egg that they’ve missed that cracked open dutch master of a sausage.
bosstrabs lol
We had bacon in warburtons white rolls or winning as Ed would say
Yes Hursty!
Bacon in Warburton’s White Rolls?
Winning, as I like to call it.
That’s what Hursty said Dave.
I also like to call it winning, Smalls.
The ultimate winner?
Me.
But you know that!
Smallman1 The ultimate winner? Me. But you know that!
Smallman1 The ultimate winner?
You’re Jon Favreau
mono-stereo Same here mate….the flying horse is the establishment were we normally eat.
It’s like the Star Wars cantina.
vinnyt77 Because it’s the BA terminal. North is EasyJet territory.
Along_the_Wire Correct. The only acceptable place to be in North terminal is in the Emirates business lounge. By no means one of their best, but by fuck - a lot better than the alternatives…
vinnyt77 I pay and go into the No1 lounge at Gatwick airport. it’s about £35 compared to £100 for the Emirates lounge. Free food & drink plus nice comfortable seating.
Dubman Fair. I only tend to use the Emirates lounge at Gatwick when I’m flying with them. But I’m only usually using North terminal when that’s the case…
