Proper LOL!
North Koreans eat better than you people.
zackster Kids eat them, Zack. Talk me through grits and fucking biscuits?
They are called ‘Chips and Fishes bits’
Along_the_Wire To be fair, massively povvy kids from the estate whose parents don’t feed them properly or give them pocket money, so they go and ask for ‘scraps’ (as they’re called round here) from the chippy because they’re free.
What Zackster is talking about here is basically the UK equivalent of people from that movie ‘Gummo’.
Along_the_Wire Grits. Isn’t that what they feed humanoids in sci-fi movies? You can tell this shit started off in the end of a bucket and some starving bastard called Tom happened upon them one day in 1855, the rest is history.
I thought ‘scraps’ only got fed to people in the North?
Clearly not.
@zackster thoughts, please, on the Butter Pie, favoured by the fine citizens of Preston, England (has significant Irish population which may explain the spuds…)
The filling is just potatoes and butter (and sometimes chopped onions)
bosstrabs it’s a heart attack waiting to happen
That looks marvellous tbf.
I was part right about the spuds. It seems the Irish Catholics wanted a meat-free pie they could eat on Fridays, and the local bakers obliged.
Butter was added after a while, because just potatoes and onions was ‘too dry’.
