rhouses Guessing all of us on this forum had or have insane CD vinyl collections from the 90s and 2000s, what did you end up doing with them?
I’m actually about to put all mine in temporary storage today… I’m decorating the house top to bottom before putting it on the market and the vinyl and CD collection is just too big to work around. You can add books to that too, thousands of pounds worth of art and design books; they barely get read some of them, they look great on the shelves, but they’re a pain in the hoop to move. The trabs collection is less of an issue, much lighter, but the boxes take up a fuck ton of space.
I’ve thinned it all out over the years, never really getting any money for anything bar the books and trabs. If you have some truly rare music you might get a couple of quid. The problem with vinyl and CDs is that they are designed to last, so if you have a copy, there’s a good chance another copy still exists too. I made the most cash selling old Lego sets. Nobody wanted the actual Lego, because it’s indestructible and as such not very rare, but the buyers were all after the boxes, good condition boxes are much rarer due to the perishable nature of cardboard.

I was happy to jump ship from the trabs market for a bunch of reasons, but standard Dunks at £120 is the best reason.
