  • What events/gigs have you bought tickets for?

My mate who comes to these things with me just isn’t feeling the trip sadly, I’ll have another crack at him and let him know that he’s not doing a London date.

alistair Bonobo, Pet Shop Boys, Foals, Avalanches, Fontaines DC, Sleaford Mods, Jessie Ware and Caribou for starters

Bonobo would be alright for lying on the grass to. Not very exciting though.
Pet Shop Boys suck.
Foals have been crap for ages (since after ’My Number"). Their latest album seems dreadful.
The Avalanches had a great album 20 years ago, and don’t really seem like they’d be that interesting live.
Fontaines DC and Sleaford Mods are just a no from me. Bunches of whiners.
Jessie Ware? Erm, lol. Also seems her biggest song was 7 years ago.
Caribou - had two hits 7 and 12 years ago. Recent stuff sounds cheesy. Saw him 7 years ago at a day festival and he was really dull, just aimless middle-of-the-round electronic noodling for an hour until he played ’Can’t Do Without You’ and the whole crowd was like thank god that last hour was over.

I can see a role for Hugo at the afters, when I want everyone to leave.

hugopal it’s not even the full line up anyway. There’s always plenty to choose from away from the main stages. Have you been before?

Caribou will have all the 40+ Guardian readers front and centre. Maybe taking a break mid set for some organic humus.

Smallman1 Lionel Richie absolutely nailed that Glastonbury Sunday afternoon slot the last time I was there

      • Dan replied to this.

Cornwall twice? Eh? Wonder if the gig will coincide with their beloved ‘Darkie Day’

        Nine Inch Nails?

S to The Werve more like!

Saw them when they were last in Brum and they were fucking amazing.

I’ve also seen them two times, and yeah they’re great.
