Along_the_Wire Let me know if you’re out for pre and/or post beers. Not 100% sure what we’re up to Saturday, but might be out and about in town…

That will be absolute mustard!
Enjoy Bedrock tonight everyone, i’ll be at the next one
Top man Hursty.
Dry-Tinder ah thanks for explaining. That makes so much more sense now in terms of the massive queues last year. The front and centre thing seems like such a strange thing to be an issue given the obvious impact it made on the sound balance in that space. Oh well.
Smallman1 yes indeed, I’m hoping so too. Should be ok. After all, the only way is up lol.
ScottBailey I’m looking forward to being there tonight and seeing whether/how it’s different to last year. I totally agree with you about the sound last year. On the plus side, given how poor the sound was at least it (in theory) automatically guarantees that tonight can only be an improvement lol. I have a good feeling about tonight. Reckon it’s going to be good.
We’re going to head to Bat & Ball Covent Garden for pre-drinks tonight now as apparently The Crown is absolutely rammed with it being so tiny and the footy being on.
vinnyt77 keep in touch mate!
Well?
Whatever happened I’d say everyone was in Great Form☆
Presto headed down for it from home in Tamworth, and has somehow ended up in Brighton…
Great great night. Firstly, the music was out of sight. The first couple of hours were full of tough classic bedrock style bangers. Driving kick drums. All brilliant new stuff. Consistently saying to myself “wow, that’s fucking good” …………and they just suited the whole vibe. Never heard of any of them. I was fucked and at about 2 kept saying to myself when he plays a shit one I’ll go but he just kept pulling them out of bag. Much Bigger crowd this year. Usual friendly bunch. Always surprised at the diverse age range -lots there in their 20s and 30s really into this music. The energy levels in the room were really good. Had a great drink with Ed and Wasily and we bumped into Nick M who is well up for the special event next month! So much better than last year and can’t wait for Scotty’s reflections on those new tunes.
LT42 agreed!
baggers44 totally agree with you! It was a million times better than last year and I’d go as far as saying it was my favourite Diggers gig ever in a venue that size. Obvs not as good as his set at Sub Club a couple of months ago but he managed to get the atmosphere where it needed to be in that big space this year. Like you said, it was just banger after banger right till the very end! He didn’t drop the ball once. Insanely good sound and such a lovely crowd! So glad I didn’t sack it off and made the effort to go after the disappointment of last year! Memories were definitely made in the best way this time around.
