Fuck me, what a great gig. Two hours of hits delivered with serious power and panache and with a well up for it crowd singing so many of the words back. They are an exceptional live band. Enjoyed the Sunday early start/end time what with work the next day

I can’t stand LCD Soundsystem - had to stand and watch them at Glastonbury for an hour and half the other year. Awful. I also can’t stand Hot Chip, so that figures.

Along_the_Wire I also can’t stand Hotchip. I just don’t get them at all.

LCD are decent, but having seen them twice I wouldn’t go out my way to see them again.

Along_the_Wire LCD initially was very student meets Shoreditch with their skinny jeans and pointy shoes and shouty tracks, however when it comes to remixes I absolutely love their DFA guise. I’m not a fan of Hot Chip with the exception of Flutes. Joe Goddard (of Hot Chip) has made some good music in recent years.

8 nights at Brixton which is some going. Not in his wildest dreams would James Murphy have thought they would become half as successful when he launched DFA records and released Losing my edge. Some of his lyrics are hilarious. North American scum went down a treat.

RichM It’s gonna be rave stuff from back in the day when he used to do three deck mixes originally apparently. There’s quotes from Liam Howlett and Carl Cox on one of the fliers or ticket sites for it.

RichM Looks horrific. The Prodigy with their Kerrang dance should have packed it in years ago the image of Coxy shouting oi oj at the ageing crowd whilst playing injected with a poison makes me cringe.
