I may have posted this before, but a good mate of mine hosted a night in our local town a few years back. I warned him against it as there is no scene here at all. But he went ahead and booked Brandon Block, hoping that would get the punters in.
Alas it did not. I’d say about 15 people were there, 13 of them mates with my mate. Brandon walked in and you could tell he was thinking wtf is this.
He was due to play for 90 minutes buy think he did about 60 or so and then cleared off. He didn’t play one new track, it was classic after classic.

I wanna say it cost my mate £700 but I may be wrong on that, it was deffo a few hundred though.
The very next week Blocko played the closing party of space to thousands of people, talk about contrast!
The only upshot was one of the two strangers who did attend as a paying customer hit it off with my mate and they’re now married!
