Cankles-McJeggings he used to be amazing! So I’m always ready to be disappointed again when he’s not there anymore. I listened to his 2013 essential mix (which was probably the last essential mix to make someone a superstar DJ) a week or two ago again, and it’s still the best essential mix of the last decade. The first hour he played when I saw him the first time live in 2017 was also probably the best DJ set I heard live that year.
Yeh that mix was pretty good. Tbf I haven’t listened to anything by him since that beatport connections thing he did last year which was shite.
The sound that has been ‘en vogue’ for the last two years is that Innellea/Horvat/Ivory-esque ignorant brash sounding nonsense so most of his sets are stuffed full of these kinds of tracks.

Yeh I can’t be doing with it either. What was that shite Alistair posted the other day that he’s been playing ? Absolute ear bleed. I check out all the inner visions stuff just out interest and it’s garbage.
There has been some great deeper tracks that have popped up from this stable over the past 2 years though from the likes of Aera, Tal Fussman, Jimi Jules & Invoker.
seanc80 Don’t mind some Innervisions (their latest comp had its moments). I listened to the latest Jimi Jules album with an open mind having heard My City’s on Fire played out to great effect. It was pretty woeful. Too much toe curling German kitsch (Dix on the phone!?)
Jules is really hit and miss. He did some good stuff a while back and I had him as a favourite but seems to have just descended into shite recently.

I actually owned the album when it came out. Not something I could listen to now, but living where I do it’s virtually impossible to go a full day without hearing one of their tracks on the radio.
