LT42 fair comment. Probably wouldn’t be. I just think this has become his sound now for the immediate future and from that I don’t automatically make an effort to tune in when I see his name anymore.
Won’t be any skin off his nose for sure! At least he’s playing what he loves. I like that honesty.

LT42 lol - watch it with the Dermo comparisons lad - nae worse insult.

I dunno like - he released sets from the time from various places (he’s always the headliner so not like he was doing a warm up) and they were just ‘meh house’. Same as the electro-house phase he went through. Glad he got past them.

Agreed. I don’t know of any DJ who gets critiqued the way he does, he set the bar so high I suppose over the years.

Plays Berlin House, gets called lazy and boring. Finally hones a sound unique to him during lockdown, has too many sharp edges (?)

Imo, its far more interesting than the samey Bunker sets we heard every week. One dimension isn’t enough for me personally anymore.

LT42 As a listening experience and taken on its own terms, it’s fine, but I’d have zero interest in paying to see/dancing to Sasha breaks set in a club. Anyway It’s not like any of the breaks he played in that set was as good as the Kohra album.

I’d doubt you’d hear him do a Scene Delete set in a club either

LT42 I saw him do it as a live concert which was even better.

That’s as bad as ‘sharp edges’

Apologies for wanting to listen to something other than a club mix every now and then. Is this the S&D Facebook group subsidiary in this thread? 😆

“samey Bunker sets” 😆 You’re a hard man to please.

SM001 lol I’m not knocking the quality of the music, I think you’ve misunderstood.

See comments such as “Nice to hear that one again.” “Anyone ID the breaks track at 38 mins?” “Nice tribute to insert recently deceased here” “This track is banging” “Have to say this is the best one yet” “Its always the track that needs the ID that I like, rest was average”- for further details.

        16 days later

Rinse FM: Tuned in after an episode of DARK midway through:

Djuma Soundsystem - Rim Jhim (David Mayer Remix)
        dOP- Heart Signs (Chaim Remix)
Company Is Family & Marc W- Mr. Grouper
        ID - ID
8Kays - Sun Will Come Out Again (Matthais Meyer Remix)
Oona Dahl - Godtripper (Patrice Baumel Psychoactive Remix)
Claudio Ricci - Sternentreiben (Patrice Baumel Remix)
        Gregor Tresher - Witchcraft

        Shanebot over to you…

Wasily Like that 8Kays remix. Rainbows was big for me last year. Talented lady

Wasily Eh I think you’re done. 😆 Same tracks as the Desert Hears mix. Shocker. 🙄

Can’t believe anybody bothered to listen to this. Certainly one for the diehards.

Echo better than the breaks he has been playing recently imo… but no classic either

Wally Knives Out - Sugarcoat (Sasha Remix) [BEDROCK]

ScottBailey Airdrawndagger to me is an overlooked classic electronic album. At times on par with Philips Glass’s work.
