segwin I wouldnā€™t call it ā€˜eclecticā€™ for starters. Itā€™s straight up breaks or stuff you can find on his LUZoSCURA playlist on Spotify.

segwin Papua New Guinea probably a good example. He was one of the few who would drop breaks tracks intermittently to make his set different to all the others. ā€˜I Trance Youā€™ probably another good example. Canā€™t think of many other DJā€™s who championed Guerilla Records more than he did back in the day.
At least back then it was a mixture of stuff.

alistair Interesting, both sets that I listed trump the Orchard in my honest opinion.

@SM001 I am familiar with the LUZoSCURA playlist as I admin/mirror the Apple Music version of it. Interested in some of the breaks that Sasha would play out back in the 90s/2000s if you can share.

Rabbitweed? Itā€™s only his song, after all. His remix of Gus Gus ā€œPurpleā€?

Thereā€™s a LUZoSCURA compilation in the works, is that correct?

The orchard set was brilliant, imho.

segwin boiler room is a classic. One only has to go skin deep into a Sasha back catalogue convo before you conclude how good it is. Kleinenberg lol

alistair Agreed. Ugly Kid Jay - Major North Annihilate was thrown down at The Brooklyn Mirage about a year ago from today.

      EDIT: Place went completely berserk.

lol @ Seggers getting all uppity

Smallman1 The opening of part 2 was immense. Plus the fact the MD was kicking in šŸ˜²

alistair They played ride at ALFOS a few years ago. Front & centre scones.

LNOE 50 and the 6Mix thing he did are both quality, he still has it, thatā€™s why everyone on here still listens just in case, despite the flak

        • Heno replied to this.

LT42 excatly, can be so hit and miss but when he was on form years ago he was top banana your not a sasha fan till heā€™s done a no show

that video of him playing the grave yard was something else. good god. some of those tunes were beyond cringe.

segwin I have an Annie on One mix from 2003 with Sasha & Zabiela, which is a breaks mix thatā€™s about an hour long. I can put it up on WeTransfer if anyoneā€™s interested?

            Kells77 Do it up.
Along_the_Wire Hey ā€˜Palā€™, thereā€™s not much help in suggesting Northern Exposure to a person visiting a webpage called, jaded-clubbers.com. Second, my reply was directed towards SM001 and NOT to Alistair.

AND to those reading, I agree with the above. Sasha is still capable, experimenting a bit for summer and kicking the feet up. Iā€™d be taking a bit of a different path while John continues to go brick by brick past him legacy-wise during this COVID period.

Kells77 I always need to tell people I was in the DJ booth the whole hour when that was recorded in Stockholm.

I was in the booth with JZ at MOS once but was so off my face the temptation to lean over and start pressing buttons on the mixer was really getting to me so I excused myself. šŸ™‚

Its great when jumped up little wankers like Segwin turn up.

Came in here to say the exact same thing.

Kells77 Really liked that mix. Especially when Zabs mixes in Shpongle having reversed the track and then un-reverses it to play through.

Ogumbo Whatā€™s wrong with a bit of banter? No aim to step out of boundaries but just to stir some conversation.

Kells77 Wow, here I am with my face melting at 8AM. Damn good. One for the archives and thanks for sharing.

                  alistair ā€˜Alistairā€™s patented ā€˜Dermobaitā€™ - coming to a store near you!ā€™

Listening to the above while looking forward to Live at 99 Scott (062) releasing sometime tomorrow. Bold prediction.

A change of musical direction for the bald one, or a great piece of hacking?

Kumquat Not the first time thatā€™s happened either. Sasha and his crew are really asleep at the wheel.
