Cankles-McJeggings Long haired Jack Russell here. Although he’s currently a short haired Jack Russell as he’s had all his hair shaved off after nearly dying from a paralysis tick 2 weeks ago.
Dubman Cankles-McJeggings Found a tick on my Jack Russell a while ago. Lucky I found it just when got home. Was able to remove it myself with no ill effects.

Cankles-McJeggings Our boy used one of his lives for sure. Was under his lip and fully engorged. Went off his legs and we thought he was gone. Vet told us expect the worst as he’s so advanced. We check him daily and I bathed him the day before but never even thoughto to look under lip. He’s on tick treatment too and that failed. 2 days and 2.3k later we got him back. He’s still not right though. He’s aged years.

Cankles-McJeggings It’s been a bad year. Most years only 2 or 3. This year maybe 10. We missed this little fucker. Here’s a before and after. He’s got tremors and is really nervous all the time. He’s partially paralysed on the side of his mouth where it was still.

Cankles-McJeggings 7 going on 12 now. He’s changed a lot in the last 2 weeks, it’s definitely taken its toll, he’s lost his game. Not sure if he’ll ever fully recover, it’s properly knocked him for 6. Most people we’ve spoken to dogs died at the stage he was at.
