Has anyone else noticed the rumblings around this British 19 year-old lad who has been missing in Tenerife for 6 days already after supposedly getting lost in the blazing heat after trying to walk back from a music festival, in an incident which on the face of it sounds oddly similar to the previous Michael Mosley event?
Now before @Mad_Cyril pipes in with some complete and completely unnecessary bollocks, I’m aware of what is fact and what is just speculation, and I will label the below accordingly so his little head doesn’t get in a muddle.
Firstly, the fact:
Turns out this Jay Slater kid appeared to have been involved in drug dealing and be a complete and utter scrote who was sentenced a year ago in Lancashire with a bunch of his mates for splitting the head of a 17 year-old open with a machete, an axe and a golf club (though it is not clear which of those weapons, if any, Slater was using). The sentencing of him and his mates was not just for the attack but also included “conspiracy to supply Class A drugs”.

This part is also a a fact: someone called Lucy Mae has set up GoFundMe with a target of £30k to supposedly help her and his family find him. It has already exceeded that target (despite the lad seeming to be be a complete scrote).
Now, this is is the speculation and rumour , so it could turn out to be incorrect (with italics for MC) - but some of it follows on from the above:
He’d apparently been frequently travelling to and around Spain this year with said Lucy Mae. The rumours are that he’d also now been drug dealing in Spain e.g. at the music festival he was meant to have been coming from. There’s speculation that his “going missing” is his actually having been kidnapped by a Moroccan drugs gang because he lost some drugs/owed them money, and the GoFundMe created by Miss Mae is actually to pay for his release.
Some of the limited info supporting this is apparently someone calling herself ‘Pippa’ posting on Lucy Mae’s instagram to claim Jay is alive and that Lucy and Jay had got themselves in to trouble. Quite a few other people are generally posting across twitter and the various facebook/reddit etc pages set up to assist in the finding of Jay telling people not to donate because of what the real reason supposedly is.
While it may sound a bit implausible, is it also more implausible than this Brit going missing in the heat on a holiday island just a few weeks after Mosley? How often is there even one such event a year? Or is it a copy-cat cover story? We’ll probably find out soon, but it does seem a bit sus. It’s also interesting to consider that none of the mainstream media reports on the story had mentioned his previous criminal conviction and I wonder how many unwitting people would have rather not donated to the GoFundMe had they been informed of it.
