Interesting interview with Maron. At the end of all the promotional bullshit, he talks about being heavily depressed during the making of, his wife was terminally ill or something along the lines. Hence a delay as well. He also talks about his career feeling incomplete because he never made a good movie, and he looked at this as his chance. He’s borderline senile, was probably not there mentally while this was being made and conceptualised and it shows because it feels rushed and completely disjointed. They’ll make a trilogy out of this for the money, and hope the next parts are more coherent. Chase apparently wants Terence Winter on part 2.
