5 years seemed a long time in music when you were younger.

I remember the Stone Roses Second Coming coming out in late ’94. Their debut had been ’89 - I wasn’t old enough to enjoy that until a few years later, when I started getting into guitar music when I was about 13 - but I remember it being a massive thing that they’d basically disappeared for FIVE years. Now that’s common between albums for many acts.

Then it seemed like bands perpetually did year 1 album - year 2 tour - year 3 album - year 4 tour etc.

    Smallman1 Thanks for that Dave.

Smallman, at least I didn’t fucking lie and say “Yeah I was into the Roses when their first album was out, went to see them at Spike Island when I was nine”, like you did, you fucking long-necked mongospack.

<insert Anchorman ‘Boy, that escalated quickly’ pic here>

Scene Delete is a great album.

Same can’t be said for the Roses second album which does feature a few winners (10 Storey Love Song & Love Spreads). Hard act to follow their debut (look at Leftism). Saw The Roses@Reading in 96 after Squires left.

      Cap doffed for Mongospack!

Scene Delete is a wonderful album.

Dan Taken for what it is (a rock album), the second coming is good. Underrated actually. Big fan of Breaking into Heaven/Driving South and Beggin you
