  • What Happened To Tech House?

Dubman Mate, have you please got the link for the Pappa mix you posted. I can’t seem to find it. Cheers in advance.

alistair I’m not even sure “tech-house” was a thing, more a sound, a feeling

Dubman I’m sure Zakster can’t wait for the latest Adid release every month

I had a chance to end the nightmare, but lost my nerve.

Like looking into the future that photo.

I thought Lee Hurst had retired?

Garnier was playing a conbination of techno and house before anyone else and he’s still does it better than any of the aforementioned DJs. His bi monthly residency at the End was superb

        Is the right answer.

He absolutely tore it up there.

baggers44 Yeah PLastic City was a bit hit and miss but some of that Terry Lee Brown Jnr and Timewriter was decent (but of its time)

Pickles Sasha and most/nearly all Fabric DJ’s tbf

          Pickles Siesta

The records shops over here were awash with incredible releases from Halo, Hipp-E, DJ Buck, Chris Lum, Master D, Onionz, Tony, Joeski, et cetera around 2000 or so - many of which were promos that I don’t think were ever actually released outside of SF. 4 track EPs with 4 different artists. White labels. I wouldn’t be surprised if many unknown Sasha IDs from the time were from those as he always hit Tweekin’ when he was in town.

There was one track that sticks out. Let me see if I can find it….

bosstrabs The original genre was called Tek’ouse

Finish work in reinsurance 10pm joe baxy into room 2 for a Tek’ouse knees up with El Tel. Off my Barnet falling up the apples and pairs. Pie and mash great set of lads.Oi oi! Etc etc

            Joe Baxy made me laugh.

Used to live with some lads from Sheffield in Sydney and they used to say it all the time.
