Heard Richard Tice say this morning that they’d scrap net zero.

BP Chief Exec - “Today we have fundamentally reset BP’s strategy. This is a reset BP, with an unwavering focus on growing long-term shareholder value.”

Mad_Cyril has anyone mentioned FIAT recently?

            Fixed it for BP.

Mad_Cyril BP Chief Exec - “Shit got real at the last shareholder’s meeting. So fuck it. Bollocks to pretending we ever wanted to pursue anything but unrestrained profiteering, at any cost to appease our shareholders is all that matters. Twelve holidays a year, sprawling mansions, and private schools don’t pay for themselves, you know.”

Hursty Honest question … how does crypto replace fiat as functional currency when exchanges can’t be trusted to not lose/steal your savings?

303abuser trust is a great question and you are correct about exchanges being shady entities much like some banks some might say.

There first regulated digital asset bank approved by the state of Nebraska is due to be incorporated this year which will bring in the much needed controls to handle these type of assets.

Hursty So that reads to me like a government regulated crypto institution that’s issuing a digital currency (stable coin). How is that any different from the existing banking industry?

It’s a made up currency, not backed by gold, regulated by the same government, and relies on the trust in the institution of government to provide value. What am I missing?
