Fair enough, perhaps it’s the rigidity of it all that doesn’t appeal, by rigidity I mean detailed planning.
I appreciate that all sports have the same level of planning, but some feel more organic.
That rigidity is so hard to overcome, and it feels like the hype is compensation for the lack of fluidity.
The NBA is easier to appreciate aesthetically, as is the football or the cricket.
So I’m not trying to be a cunt. I’ve tried really hard to get a grip of this as it’s a big part of US culture. But to me its all mouth no trousers
