my limited understanding is that he broke protocols by traveling on the team plane, apparently there are pictures to verify. if that’s the case, either: 1. the nfl was looking the other way; 2. the team new and broke the rules; or 3. rogers lied to everyone.
all of those cases are a really bad look for the nfl. this year is going to be a pr nightmare for them and while there won’t be any real consequences, hopefully it stresses goodell out and he enjoys life a little less.
