i love that the raiders have strung me along with the possibility of a playoff appearance. the set up is perfect with a few mediocre wins to get us into a sunday evening game at home against the chargers with the winner going to the playoffs. we then get blown out at home to completely crush any hope i might have. i know it’s going to happen, but i’ll watch and get pissed off anyways.

Don’t I know it! This time last year the franchise QB demanded a trade and the Suberbowl winning coach was fired. A 4 win season was on the horizon… but look at me now!

jonattonyeah i’ll give them that. i actually think they were a super bowl quality team to start the year, at least until the nfl decided that wasn’t acceptable. down a head coach, #1 receiver, one of the best tight ends in the league, starting full back, and half our o-line, it’s a decent effort. there are many seasons where they would’ve just quit in november.

jonattonyeah it definitely seems like it comes with the position, maybe rice being the notable exception. ruggs was supposed to be a “character guy” although i know he was gruden’s pick, mayock wanted lamb.

jonattonyeah fuck me, unbelievable. he’s played really well too. i was always worried about the move to vegas and it’s been substantially worse that even i thought it would be. players can’t stay out of trouble and the crowd looks like they’ve never been to a football game before. great move for mark davis’ wallet, awful for everything else.

There’s no way this would’ve happened in Oakland. Not enough to do, no drinks after 2:00, strip clubs (well, legit ones) aren’t legal, and OPD has a directive to essentially not enforce traffic laws. You can literally blow through a red in front of a cop and they won’t do a single thing. DUI? Ha!

But Mark got his stadium and his tax breaks.
