Along_the_Wire So, even the most average of players in a three year career could get around one million sterling? I’d say they’ll all be fine.
I understand the discrepancy between the level of skill and what they might be able to make compared to other sports, and the discrepancy between the money that pours into the sport and what they take home, and that might irk a bit, but they’ll be fine. It takes a lot longer for say a rugby international to make that money. More obscure stuff like skateboarding and snowboarding won’t make close to that unless they have their own commercial companies. I know those sports don’t have the same fan base and income, but I’d say the level of athleticism and skill are more than comparable.
