Here’s some personal recommendations for where we go / would go if holidaying here.

Nice holiday moments / music:

  • Drinking at sunset with panoramic views: PANORAMA LOUNGE (PISSOURI)
  • Sunset into the sea:

  • General clubbing and good chance of good music (outdoor / indoor hybrids large and small)

(these recommendations come with a caveat that it depends on the event that night - for example Guaba goes from Prog to Techno to EDM depending on the event and Agora has electronic nights which are nice for sit down drinks rather than dancing but on some nights it’s Greek music - but these are the places that do regularly invest in good electronic DJs)

For a nice upmarket meal and 5 star surroundings:

  • THE COLUMBIA BEACH HOTEL & RESORT in Pissouri, close to you and a taxi home from Zoe Pangeras +357 99 492550

  • Car hire also Zoe Pangeras. Really reasonable based in Pissouri near your resort.

Beautiful beach / water activity:

  • Pissouri Bay (sunbathing, boat, stand up paddleboard hire, diving)
  • Aphrodite’s Rock (diving, great scenery)
  • Latchi Boat hire. Head here, arrive early or book the boat the days before.

Cooling off:

  • A cool Walk in the mountains, aim for the cyprus ski club (one big loop on a similar level with easy incline / declines )

(It drops about 10 degrees here but you will not need a coat as it’s more like 24 degrees)

Nicosia is 90 minute drive away and a lovely city with its own identity and story but for being outdoor I’d honestly avoid it as it’s regularly 40 degrees being land locked in july and august whereas more like 32-35 where you are staying as you have coast.

      I recently decided it would be nice to share some of Cyprus’ natural beauty spots, and I found (and some viewing streamers funded) a new type of portable battery that can keep the DJ equipment going out in nature and perform where there is data signal.

      I’m doing it tomorrow and it’s a bit of a risk as there is no backup - but we’ll soon know if this is going to really work.

      After a lot of public performances I’ve genuinely missed doing Sunday streams - so come hang with us into the sunset tomorrow at 16:00 London / 11:00 NY and discover new music with us.

          @Phil-McRackin sophie and I were having a laugh at the replay - agree with your kid it sometimes does look like a green screen back drop but I promise I was really there.. I guess the only way you can tell is how crazy the wind was at the beginning before it calmed down.

          Reality is during the winter I really wanted to do a nice green screen one but I could never get it to work without shadows appearing in the indoor space I have available.

            NasserAlazzawi he was having none of it! I tried to explain you had to haul you asses and equipment up there. He thinks everything he watches is green screen…watches too many youtubers.

                Maybe show him this and say that I did exactly what was in this video, but replacing the iMac with a laptop to stream from and powering the DJ equipment with one of these large batteries -they last about 2 hours powering the Pioneer equipment with 1 kettle plug. The laptop in the battery also lasting just over 2 hours.

                I’m determined to make him a believer… if he doesn’t believe me I may start shedding actual tears.
