Christ, Zackster, you’re really ignorant to what’s actually going on here. Klippenstein admitted on a John Greenewald Twitter space last night that he was fed info on Grusch by “sources” from the DoD and the DoE. In otherwords, the Intercept have done a total hit job on Grusch, fed by the IC. He even printed the story before his FOIA receipt came through. Not “suss” at all. Klippenstein’s Dad is literally a bigwig in the DoE, the agency tasked with handling foreign materials.
Grusch came back from Afghanistan with PTSD, nothing wrong with that, and he suffered a bout of depression because his best friend committed suicide.
Smearing Grusch for his mental health is disgusting and its obvious what’s at play here, its witness intimidation, if you want to keep spinning that wheel go right ahead but you’ll only come across as an even bigger douchebag.
Grusch was given his full clearences to go back to work by the DoD, because it wasn’t a serious mental health issue as the hit piece suggests. Exposing a veterans private medical history for no other reason than to smear him is the lowest of the low. The Intercept is struggling and I hope this puts them under. Klippenstein is a weasel of the highest order.
