We are definitely among the cheapest places to live across Canada. Makes mobility a bit difficult, but we’ll just downsize and move at some point. Problem is that I have a business here and I’m starting a second one, which kind of ties us down for the next 5ish years.

PM 2.5 levels are in the 400s in parts of the city today. Basically if we go outside, it’s instant lung cancer. If I have to run 3 hours on the treadmill tomorrow, I’m going to want to shoot myself in the face.

303abuser when you’re done move to Finland. Climate you’re familiar with, but is nicer. I have a friend who married a French dude. Said guy said that falling in love with a Finnish girl was a blessing, because moving here was in his plans anyway. He figured this is going to be among the best places to survive climate change.

303abuser I have a local friend who speaks Cockney (he IS from London, and I send him a message every time I watch Sexy Beast (“THESE GUYS SOUND LIKE YOU!”) who’s been here for almost 20 years and he still can’t speak Finnish. Gives you an idea how you can manage with just English here right?

I know quite a few Finns nowadays.

Very weird about personal space. Seem very disconnected and distant people in a way, even from each other.

Must be hell for them living in China, where the very idea of personal space barely exists and people ask personal questions all the time.

Not sure I could live in Finland, although I like my peace and quiet they are too extreme even for me.

Dubman that picture doesn’t really illustrate what he wants it to - the people in the middle are bunched up not because they’re not Finns, but because they’re standing under the bus shelter.
