Hottest temp I ever experienced was 49C in Doha. I felt like it was kind of so hot that I couldn’t really sense it properly? Like my scale only goes up to about 36C and after that it’s indistinguishable.
I was wandering about outside and the locals were giving me evils, clearly thinking “you stupid bellend”. I was like “guys, it’s cool, I’m Scottish, we’re nails. Chill!”
Getting back under the air con felt orgasmic though.
39C in Zurich was also mad. In some ways more alarming, and incongruous, than 49C in a gulf state surrounded by sand. I would estimate that 50% of the under 50 population was in the river at some point that day. Absolute scones to be fair.
