Great night, and great people as always, good to meet you Ed and Alistair!
Came down after the grand Prix and did 7-11. James Zabiela was being ushered in as ‘one of the djs’ as I was coming in. Did he play in one of the other rooms? I only saw that room 2 was open (with a sparse crowd) on the way out.
Amazing to think you’ve arrived at a club at 5 in the afternoon and low and behold Sasha is playing to an almost full dark dancefloor.
alistair I’m convinced this is the future. Who needs to be up all night anyway?
NasserAlazzawi completely agree. Had so much more energy at that time
He’d only just arrived at 5pm as well!
Security was a breeze, very quick and professional, didn’t see them once inside.
Just the right amount of people in there I thought, busy but not a road block
Heading to see Sasha & Digweed on the 26th. Not expecting much.
That’s the spirit Sean.
Hursty what struck me about Sasha last night was how diverse his set was. Some twisted disco basslines and balearic tinged piano house for a while then some tribal/tech house, warehouse rave sounds and some breaks and then some of that epic trancey prog. Lots of hands in the air moments. Could hardly name a tune. Loved the way he programmed his eight hours and shifted through the gears effortlessly. Best I had seen him play for donkey’s years
alistair sounds class.
mono-stereo They always are - seems he does his homework before doing an 8 hour set.
Wally Yup. Some of the longer sets I’ve heard him play in that room have been magic.
Found some footage from SD’s 50th.
