Echo Opening track and closing track both have a bit of a Chemical Brothers sample / loop over them too which isn’t credited.

Echo recon that is something unreleased on Excession. it’s the right time period and the exact right sound for the label. Probably something by Justin Scott Dixon or The Light.

Dude was probably too batty and/or lazy to bother releasing them. “Oh that track..,yeah I dunno…..why are you asking me at a urinal?”

    JVM Bedrock > Digweed Bedrock

Echo there’s a bug in the module it belongs to. I’ve reported it to the developers.

Amps The mix from Dreaming to Ubik is poor. It’s like someone called him on his mobile and he forgot to mix in the tune earlier (a la Graham Gold).

As an aside, Ubik has to be on the list for ultimate Bedrock tunes. Baguio Track being another that springs to mind.

Never knew there were so many fans of this Essential Mix, always thought some of his others seemed more popular among the prog cognoscenti, even bizarrely the Maida Vale one.

There used to be a real monster of a Sasha mix around this time (well, 1999 possibly) from Gatecrasher on the Gatecrasher web site (video included), where he pitched everything up and just banged it out, pure power prog. Would love to get hold of that.

SM001 Cheers but it wasn’t an Essential Mix.

It was one of Sasha’s regular gigs at Gatecrasher, I think it may have been a 3-4 hour set, and it was hosted on their web site.

zackster Go and wither in a corner with your Jeff Mills drivel. Whenever the Baguio Track kicked in at Bedrock everything kicked into place. You wouldn’t understand because you weren’t there. A proper Bedrock moment. I feel for you Zack.

I remember liking it at the time. Tried playing it having a mix at home in about 2004 and remember just wanting it to finish. Ended up taking it off less than half way through
