Controversial Prog Takes
I believe the phrase Son of The Club Owner is more of a reference to his well endowed father, than a reference to the nightclub itself, Hannu
…haha
Michael Bloomberk more like
For me, it’s gotta be:
027 - Danny Howells
010 - Danny Tenaglia (some points deducted for CD2)
007 - Paul Oakenfold
There’s a lot of good GUs but too many of them don’t stand the test of time like these do.

Pappa’s was prob my fave nubreed as well. Seemed to fit the stripped-back, futuristic vibe of the series’ marketing the most as well.
Howells’ was also very good.
Yep, Pappa and Burridge were the best in my book. Anyone repping Howells is mostly a Bedrock nonce.
Are we completely ignoring the thread title and are now in the GU / GU Nu Breed differential trenches?
I, of course, hope so.

Both Sasha and Diggers play out much better individually.
27th February 2000 - Sasha’s best Essential Mix
mono-stereo is the right answer
I dunno, but I mainly like it because it’s full of tracks that are not on every other Sasha mix too. He was as bad at playing the same tracks on end for six months in 2000 too.
Its my favourite too..don’t know if he did much tinkering to it but just sounds like a load of great tunes very well put together
Yeah, 2000 ‘Sasha comes to play in your kitchen’ mix is mustard. Not controversial.
The mix at Mark Hunt’s is Sasha’s best ever mix imo (obviously not an Essential mix)
