I hope Kristian ignores the Dixon influence. Wiedemann is playing live on his own I think. His upcoming tracks that Digweed played on Bunker9 are great.
General DJ stream-thread
Ame live is always Wiedemann alone I think?
…always rated Ame but the last album was massively underwhelming.
Ambivalent about the IV lot as DJ’s… I know they have some serious devotees so maybe its just me, but I’m yet to hear a set that’s really blown me away in recent years
They do great remixes, but it’s been awhile since I last heard an original track of theirs I liked. Tatischeff probably, and that was in 2013.
Live set recordings from Ame or Dixon are rare. Dixon I take or leave but Ame can be excellent.
Anyone and I mean ANYONE knocking Dixon is getting shot.
You get me fam?

…said it before, I have old house sets of his from early 2000’s that are excellent. He still plays some good tracks, but his style is so all-over-the-place I find it odd anyone would like ALL of his music, some of that German electro pop stuff is shite and a long way from my idea of club music
…. and all that pan-African chanty-bongo bollix

At least he leaves the pan-asian sitar bollocks to the ADID white-dreadlocks crowd.
But yes, fucking lost the plot a long time ago
haven’t heard a good Dixon set since the Albert Hall one….Damo’s right - the electro pop he plays is tripe… obviously trying to be original and develop a new style, and falling flat on his face.

First time I heard Area - ‘Moon Palace’ @56mins
I absolutely love a nagging synth line with a German vocoder singing “Dis ist de best damn music in da whole vide vorld” over the top.
Yeah that new Wiedemann EP is excellent. Out in a few weeks. And I still think Dixon is one of the better ones going. Don’t like all the tracks he plays but they make sense together. They all sound like “Dixon” tunes. But it does feel a little Digweed at times. Like he’s playing one long Innervisions track, like Diggers with Bedrock. But as with both, the mixing is usually top drawer
Live now. JakoJako first. She looks decent. Music is good too.
