Running back to back threshold/long runs every weekend can suck my dick. Nothing to add, just a short, very tired rant.

A massive fucking whopper.
Shame playing footy in this country is such a closed shop, especially outside London. When I was in the US you had MeetUp.com where you just rocked up somewhere and everyone just played for fun. Co-Ed too. Not found anything similar unless you band together with mates and form a league side, but as all mine are dotted around the south east not really an option. Billy no mates. Im nearly 50 and utter shite , but would love a run around at the weekend .
Think when you get to a certain age its cycling or nothing, but cycling over here is so road based ( minimal dedicated cycle network ) you take your life in your own hands. Plus my BP is high enough as it is without getting more irate, being an angry biker !

IndustryStandard round my way in essex you would have no trouble joining a team, loads of vets teams looking for players. I’m shit at football yet still get asked a few times a year to join a team. Too many players getting injured at our age.
