mmm. I am not sure being live would make this any better. Its basically like Joris Voorn but not as good

I really have never got the dixon thing. And I was a naysayer about the Essential mic back in 2013 and took loads of shit for it on facebook but I stand by my comments.

      Has he done more than 1 Essential Mix? I remember hearing one and the first hour was pants followed by an excellent 2nd hour. Doesn’t seem like it was 8/9 years ago but it could well be. If it was a live set and I was at a club I’d have missed hour 2 as I’d have either gone to another room or home based on the state of the first hour

      Just checked with somebody and got this:

        benson Hackey is the absolute pits, and now full of c*nts too. So your statement seems accurate.

          You have to go out to enjoy the majority of Djs nowadays.

          Which is why this place is still stuck in a Sasha and Digweed and Disc 2 time warp.

            Most homes from Hackney don’t pronounce the H.

            Hackney is more Oliver Bonas and Jo Malone than rough round the edges these days.

            If you need a DJ to be seen live, to fully appreciate their mastery, that should automatically set alarm bells ringing.

              Wasn’t overly impressed with Dixon when I saw him live the one time I saw him. Played some great tracks but the set was all over the place flow wise. 7/10

                Dixon has been excellent every time I’ve seen him. His recorded sets don’t quite get it. He works a sound system really well and reads a crowd even better.

                    Echo is the type of character who’s still sitting at home listening to CD1 of GU013 thinking ‘this will never be bettered.’

                    And tbf, he’s absolutely right!

                      Smallman1 I still go out but pretty much only to see Sasha and Digweed and on occassion both at the same time.

                      Need to diversify the portfolio.
