Yup agreed. Too many sticky posts clutters up the page. I don’t think we should have any personally, unless it’s some kind of announcement that everyone needs to see.

hugopal the stickied threads show lines of text from the threads underneath their title on the homepage - it looks a bit ugly and takes up loads of space, meaning that the homepage is basically just filled up with the overview of the sticky threads.

You’ll only see this view (content of the sticky thread) if you’re logged out.

Once you’re logged in, sticky threads will look like any normal thread, and they’ll also drop down the page once you’ve read them. So they don’t really behave like “traditional” sticky topics.

I agree, this forum format lends itself to a more dynamic layout and keeps things fresh.

I really do think this is the dawn of a new era of growth on here, much better tone all round and attractive to newcomers, although not sure there will be an influx of Facebook melters anytime soon.
