Homegrove

V10 or DB4

There was a problem as Alek’s DB4 has developed a fault so he’s happy enough with the Xone 92 here this time.

NasserAlazzawi it’s still a great mixer. However after trying a Xone 96 I can’t use the filters on a 92 anymore, the “pop” is too noticeable when you switch one on.

      Just finished it.

6 out of 10 at best.

      Underwhelming.

Soel tracks sound great on the mix. Dismissed them upon release. Shows what a good DJ can do.

303abuser Given the only person to rate it (Smallman) freely admits to enjoying Subway meatball sandwiches, I would hardly say it’s received a fair appraisal.

Done. Had 3 4cl whiskeys, and two beers during, and lost the plot with the TL somewhere in CD 4, but loved it. First listen impression is that it’s the third best in the series after the first London and Montreal. But it’s a Digweed Live In, if you’ve liked the previous ones you will like this one too, if not. Well you won’t like this one either.

CD 3 was the best one. This might have the best flow in all of his Live Ins. This and Sasha’s Fabric LNOEs (as opposed to his other sets he plays on the show) does make me believe when people say these guys play different in that particular club.

His latest Transitions mix released today is the opposite of playing at Fabric. Nick and Hernan wishy-washy bollox.

mono-stereo yeah, i’ve only listened to the first 45 minutes or so too, but it wasn’t good. i’ll try the 2nd part, but my expectations are low.

Homegrove They certainly play differently in that club. Loved what Sasha was playing at Fabric during his Twilo residency….you had a taste of that tribal/breaks stuff.

It’s all about that sound system. Seems to bring out the best in them. Hard to capture in a recording.

Track highlights I didn’t know previously:

                Paul Schmidpeter - Pastel Skies
                Molo - Fleut
Dino Lenny - I Wanna Go Back (John Digweed & Nick Muir Remix)
Msafiri Zawose - Karibu Bagamoye (Musumeci Wild Pitch Mix)
Claydya & Ripperton - Hey Kid (Masaya Mix)

                and

The last three tracks on the mix.

So getting the Bandcamp-version was not wasted. Got most of those as singles.
