You don’t have to have a whole mix in the same key, it can change key from track to track, what you are trying to swerve is key clashes.
The trick when putting a mix together is to spot the clashes and avoid them with a different selection, and this is where it gets interesting / your selecta skills come in: you will have two stone cold bangers you want to put in your shiny new mix, but they clash and you have to find bridging tracks and the like to make it work.
