Have found a massive error so need to mend. Full track needs replacing.

Assuming I could re-record the 3 track sequence, with the offending/ replaced track being the middle of the three, and replace rather than the whole 2 hours?

Obvs need to be the same tempo at the slicing point?

Stupid question, editing is all voodoo to me, but sounds like it’s possible

Mad_Cyril Should be pretty simple. If you can give me the mix file, a copy of the track you want replaced, and time stamps for in/out, I can splice it for you.

Let me know if I have the idea right:

Current mix is Track A > transition A to B > track B > transition B to C > track C

Do you want to remove track B completely, leaving A > A to C > C or is it re-recording a transition and replacing that transition?

Sequence is

A B C D

Re-record with

A (new B) C D

I actually put the wrong tune in it was that late! And the transition from C To D was crap.

I can timestamp the in / out splices no problem!

Mad_Cyril Easy enough. Do a new mix of A>newB>C, send me the original mix, the new section of the 3 tracks and time stamps for when the A>B mix starts and the B>C mix ends (that way I can find a clean cut point during tracks A and C.

Mad_Cyril Just find a clean break in each track on either end (a quiet space or just before the downbeat at the end of a break for example), zoom into the wave file and cut it at a zero crossing and paste the new one it at the same zero crossing.
