Cankles-McJeggings Rice for breakfast? Even Dave doesnt eat that?
- Edited
Haha it’s not out of choice mate. Only a bit, like half a handful of cooked. I’d die of starvation otherwise.
It’s grim at first but it’s grown on me and I actually like it now. I mix it up with fried turkey mince some days instead of fish! Mental.

I wish, that was my staple for years. Then my stomach decided it no longer liked it all of a sudden. That was curtains for it. I was seriously gutted. Bread happened at the same time. I blame too many antibiotics and too much spirits.
And yeh rice is purely to fill it out a bit.
4 weetabix nestled on a bed of Dorset Cereal is my breakfast du choix.

Weetabix is seriously unhealthy. Processed shite full of sodium. Mind you they’ve probably upped their game on the sodium front nowadays. It’s still processed shite though.
Cankles-McJeggings Thats a balls isn’t it? Bread is a cunt too though.

Yeh and also pasta went at the same time.
I stood Infront of the fridge the first morning I had to give it all up and thought what the fuck am I going to eat? There’s literally fucking nothing to eat
My breakfast was always toast and marmite with porridge and fruit. Like nearly my whole life. Then one day it was all just taken away from me. Like a stolen baby. I didn’t really know what to eat for a month or so.
The thought of smoked fish then provoked suicidal thoughts.
Cankles-McJeggings Weetabix is seriously unhealthy.
Hardly a half pounder with chips Derm.
Half a pounder with chips if done correctly wouldn’t t use any processed food. Weetabix is processed.

Did you take any Tests to see what was wrong with your stomach. I’ve been having this stomach problem for a while which seems to come & go. I’ve had all the relevant tests even a colonoscopy a couple of years ago which all came back clear apart from Internal piles and a small amount of diverticulitis.
I then changed my diet to a more high fibre diet. Stopped eating white bread etc. I do eat rice & pasta but only once a week. I’m just hoping it’s my diet & not some more serious.

Coming and going sounds like classic IBS and as far as I’m aware that’s what I have. Just management now really. It came and went numerous times then stayed for good. I’m not coeliac but I’m relatively wheat intolerant. Oddly enough though I can eat Indian grown wheat/flours no problem, so it’s likely to be GM and/or pesticide related.
Had every test known to man and nowt.
I had a number of serious operations then I had Giardia from the tropics and a parasite from Cambodia in close succession and to kill that lot they used proper nasty pasty antibiotics and I’m reasonably sure that it killed everything to do with any gut flora I had. Never the same after that.
I’ve tried to rebuild it but think it’s too far gone. Plus during all that I was nailing spirits which I attribute to it all.

I got Giardia once whilst trekking high up in the Himalayas. Spent a whole week in bed or on the toilet. I caught it through drinking water from a stream.

Yeh same, river water, it’s fucking grim and almost resistant to most antibiotics now. I tried the usuals and nothing, then they sent me to tropical diseases at the hospital and they gave me some really nasty shit which I think just nuked everything. I’ve met a fair few people with similar.

All my stomach problems started after I returned from a trip from India about 4 years ago. I remember just before I was due to fly home i got really bad toothache. A friend told me to buy some antibiotics from the chemist & take 2 tablets straight away. I still don’t know if that triggered the problem or something else.

Mines the same. Returning from a trip Cambodia, Thailand and Bali. Depends if they were broad spectrum antibiots too. For teeth usually Metronidazole/Flagyl which is horrible shit.
When I went to the hospital they gave me one giant round pill like a biscuit antibiotic. It was massive. Can’t recall what it was called but only tropical medicines at the hospital can prescribe it.
