All my stomach problems started after I returned from a trip from India about 4 years ago. I remember just before I was due to fly home i got really bad toothache. A friend told me to buy some antibiotics from the chemist & take 2 tablets straight away. I still don’t know if that triggered the problem or something else.
Mines the same. Returning from a trip Cambodia, Thailand and Bali. Depends if they were broad spectrum antibiots too. For teeth usually Metronidazole/Flagyl which is horrible shit.
When I went to the hospital they gave me one giant round pill like a biscuit antibiotic. It was massive. Can’t recall what it was called but only tropical medicines at the hospital can prescribe it.
No it’s not rhouses. It’s like throwing petrol on a fire for some IBS. It can be the antichrist for a lot of cases.
Cankles-McJeggings Obviously it comes out full force, it’s pure fiber pulling out and capturing all the garbage from your intestines and gut, straight into the bog. Figuring out timing is crucial though, took me by surprise when I first started.
It’s the complete opposite of what I need. I would be seriously fucked up if I took that shit. I have and it fucking ruined me. IBS is a very broad term for many stomach complaints that no cunt really understands. I get fibre from any other places, the last thing I need or my stomach needs is a fibre bomb throwing in there.
It’s what suits your particular case rhouses. It might be something you benefit from but many cases need the opposite. Last thing I’d do is tell someone to get a load of that down them without knowing the whole story.
Cankles-McJeggings Going by your current diet, I would say it’s not needed.
But if you tend to eat a lot, and not the healthiest, there’s nothing like it to clean out the system.
Don’t get me wrong I know people who benefit from it and even swear by it. But for some it’s fucking madness to neck a load. It’s one of those health supplements that because an overload wouldn’t kill anyone it’s pretty much available everywhere. But the fallout for someone who has specific dietary requirements it’s not a good idea at all. Last time I had some I was ill for days.
My go to for example is really strong camomile tea. But for some I know that does absolutely fuck all. Totally sorts me though so I nail it. Rock n roll. You just find what suits your specific requirements there is no magic panacea.
Cankles-McJeggings The horror stories i’ve heard are the people who don’t drink enough water with it, and it clogs up the intestines when it expands in the system. Which is the opposite of what it’s meant do, which is to line your intestines and then clings on the foods so that it comes out smoothly because of its slimy texture.
You got acutely constipated?
no mate I know how to take it. I was fine on it for years but that changed when everything else did. At the time I was one teaspoon in a pint of water daily.
Cankles-McJeggings That’s perfect dosage for daily also. How did you get sick though and what happened? Shat your guts out?
Same symptoms as above for IBS. ie turned inside out, severe cramping, etc etc.

Like I said mate there’s so many variables to IBS. No two cases are the same. My dad gets it if anything is cooked in Palm oil. Then you get into is it an intolerance or an allergy. A whole new ballgame. Either way it fucking ruins him for days. A lot of chippys now have signs up saying we don’t use palm oil exactly for that reason. Lots are fucked by it and also there’s the eco reasons too.
There is one variable that is constant. Minerals.
