Just seen A Mirror with Johnny Lee Miller, thought it was excellent until the end and didn’t have a fucking clue what was going on. Turns out the first two minutes whilst I was having a piss were critical to proceedings. My missus watched the whole lot and didn’t have a clue either, but that comes as no real surprise.

Know very little about the theatre, but once had a bizarre conversation with a drunk bloke in a pub, when I was out with a colleague, who introduced me as his ‘acting manager’ (I was at the time). Drunk, confused bloke spent the next hour believing I was somehow the manager of actors in a theatre and wouldn’t be told otherwise.

Saw Monty Python the Play yesterday. Bought tickets ages ago and it wasn’t remotely sold out, but it got rave reviews so it was packed. Like a Bedrock night, I wasn’t anywhere near being the oldest in there - bizarrely, quite a large gay contingent.

Haven’t seen an episode of Fawlty Towers for decades, so had forgotten big chunks of it. It was absolutely brilliant and superbly done - very funny, as you expect. The guy that plays Basil was fantastic and properly stole the show. Highly recommended.

Along_the_Wire sounds brilliant. Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea there was a stage show. Disappointed in Cleese, the massive Brexiteer that he is, but Fawlty Towers is a timeless.

Saw People, Places, Things this afternoon. Last day of it today. Was full of birds and was a bit worried, but was actually just really good. Superb acting and really enjoyed it. The Irish Doris is brilliant as the lead.

Going to see Steve Coogan in Dr. Strangelove in October. Interested to see how it will be adapted for the theatre.
