The fact that Will Smith won an Oscar makes a nonsense out of the event anyway. He’s crap.
I get that they want more diversity, but surely they should be encouraging more youngsters from diverse backgrounds into the job, not rigging the nominations.

Smallman1 this was what I was questioning too. I can’t make out if Will Smith is smart enough to realise that if he only slapped him then he’d get away with it, or this whole thing was a bit of an awkward stunt. I think if he was that worked up he’d have punched him, in which case Chris Rock would’ve hit the deck and a scrum would have ensued.
No news outlet has even mentioned that Jessica Chastain, a genuinely good actress won. Airbrushed out of all coverage

Was surprised this was only the second Oscar for Hanz Zimmer. Dune was not even near his best works, the last two Nolan Batmans, and Interstellar. Hell, Inception OST is great too.

As Gervais literally made an entire comedy show mocking the mentally handicapped (Derek). Although tbf, that wasn’t actually the worst thing about Derek.
