Old-Dutch The whole thing is just bizzare. Chris Rock should never have gone there - was out of order. Will Smith seems completely unhinged - laughs about the joke, then goes up on stage and slaps Chris Rock and starts shouting and swearing all at the Oscars. Then hysterically laughing when Sean Coombes says that afterwards. Just bizzare
gcw Old-Dutch he is totally unhinged IMO. Last part of his book details how he went to a spiritual retreat, took some ayahuasca and had a few out of body experiences. Keeps referring to letting down the women in his life (which started when he watched his dad batter his mum and didn’t do anything about) Then there’s the whole Jade infidelity thing and you can see he’s coming apart at the seams.
Along_the_Wire seanc80 given he was laughing at the joke when it was live, it seems reasonably believable to me
ScottBailey Smallman1 this was what I was questioning too. I can’t make out if Will Smith is smart enough to realise that if he only slapped him then he’d get away with it, or this whole thing was a bit of an awkward stunt. I think if he was that worked up he’d have punched him, in which case Chris Rock would’ve hit the deck and a scrum would have ensued.
mono-stereo The fact that Will Smith won an Oscar makes a nonsense out of the event anyway. He’s crap. I get that they want more diversity, but surely they should be encouraging more youngsters from diverse backgrounds into the job, not rigging the nominations.
hugopal mono-stereo The fact that Will Smith won an Oscar makes a nonsense out of the event anyway. He’s crap. Maybe it’s another part of the left’s attempts to topple the west by denigrating and devaluing its institutions?
Smallman1 rhouses Smalls taking Chris Rock’s joke a bit too personally, imo. It was more the slap, should have chinned him.
Funky Smell the hypocrisy from the woke Hollywood generation now, they see the joke as too insensitive yet they condone violence lol.
hugopal mono-stereo if you want to humour me then recognise that the comment was clearly tongue-in-cheek.
