mono-stereo LT42 last time BA was down it transpired their entire IT setup was based in a shitty single datacenter. Smallman’s door bell has more redundancy.
zackster Smallman1 just asked Dr Zackster for a recommendation and he said “take a train to Barcelona.”
jonattonyeah LT42 Jesus. Their IT systems were fine on Saturday and it was still an complete abortion in T5. Can’t even imagine now. Heads should roll for this. Inexcusable. I’ll say I’m never flying with these idiots again.
bosstrabs There are two places you’ll want to spend most of your time: Covent Garden English Pub The James Joyce That’s it. Don’t bother with any of that foreign food (or people).
Smallman1 And being the refined and cultured individual that I am, I shall of course be drinking San Miguel when I’m out there.
LT42 Ed I know absolutely nothing about Madrid. Now I know that won"t be of much help but there you go. All the best.
Along_the_Wire Couldn’t get a boarding pass for the Madrid to Quito leg and they had to change planes at Heathrow. Was really tight for the connection and needed to queue at connections for that boarding pass - got a hand written one in the end. Made the place just, but luggage won’t be here til Saturday night which is a right cunt. Iberia trans-Atlantic are 0-2 with my bags.
Smallman1 Restaurants sorted for Madrid - https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurants-g187514-c7-Madrid.html
Smallman1 Having a lovely time in Madrid and off to the game later. Have eaten at some top top restaurants, here being the highlight - https://www.salino.es/ Hope everyone is well!
hugopal Smallman1 Salino is Spanish for saline, which is basically the sea - I think what Smallman is trying to tell us here is someone chucked him in it. Sure it’s quite the distance from Madrid, but who can blame them?
Smallman1 The Madristas are absolutely loving me, speaka da lingo and deliver it with panache and style!
