Does any use an umbrella company on here? I’m looking at taking some short term contracts inside IR35 and don’t want the hassle of going Ltd so am looking for recommendations.
Contracting
I met a fella on holiday who owned his own umbrella company and supplied M&S, Paul Smith and Accessorise. Can’t remember the company name mind, the fella was almost as boring as Hugo and he ran out of air on his dives far too quickly.
Textbook
I did for a while I’m back through my own limited company now though. I used Parasol and they were crap. Cocked up my pension repeatedly. I’d avoid them.
You used parasol for an umbrella?
Interesting.
I always went Ltd, but that was before IR35 fucked up the party. I’m out of the contracting game for that sole reason.
Millsy sounds like a right heavy hitter!
If the shoe fits
Millsy lets do that webcam roleplay thing again soon where you stand in front of the camera wearing nothing but sock garters and tap a biro off your teeth and i burn myself with hot water and try to strangle myself with some tights.

I don’t remember a webcam. X
IIRC, the safe word was SPRING ONIONS
Is it still worth all the bother with the new tax rules? I read that you can be collared by HMRC inspectors at any point?
Along_the_Wire the fella was almost as boring as Hugo
I am still bemused by Hugo posting Thomas Dolby in a Drive-time Thread.
Total menace.
I hire a lot of ‘freelancers’. I’ll ask their advice for you.
Cheers, some really useful replies here. Parasol have been recommended by the agency so useful to hear they are crap. I spoke to Trafalgar and they sounded great, no frills good service.
