rhouses I should commit to the albums end to end? Worth the time? Seems big “singles” driven, with the rest of the stuff being pretty weird and ‘avantgarde’.

Halfaxa and Visions - yes.

Visions was more big “singles” driven but there’s still other good stuff on there. Whereas Halfaxa is for me her best and most cohesive album, which is overall more vibe-y and atmospheric and where even the most avantgarde stuff is enjoyable and works in tandem with everything else.

bosstrabs Of recent tracks, though, I have heard this on a proper system (Dada in Beijing) and it was magnificent…

It’s well produced but I think the song wanders in to being annoying.

bosstrabs Was listening to this track when it first came out. Regrettably, I missed her in Hong Kong by just a few days, if I had been there at the time I would have seen her on that tour.

That’s a shame - I’m presuming it’s the same tour where the footage from this video was taken from (seems like it was made in March 2013 and some of it is HK)?

Her last truly great song imo.

I got to see her in Berlin as part of her Art Angels tour and it was pretty good.

      rhouses I think that’s Singapore.

It was filmed across various parts of her Asian tour that year, for instance Shanghai is also clearly visible in the video.

alistair lol. It’s all pretty new to me, don’t really have any context. But first, maybe you can answer what’s up with England and centuries of state sponsored genocide, rape and looting?

How bad were the Christians in Manipur treated.

          rhouses I think that’s Singapore.

          @bosstrabs

Further to my comment above, some of it is definitely filmed in HK - Carnarvon Plaza at 2:25 in the vid is in HK.

Most of the violence occurred between two tribal factions, what has Christianity got to do with it?

Very much part of India, but the North East functions very differently from the rest of the country, completely different culture.

              rhouses
One tribe was meitei which are Hindu against the
              Kuki which Christian.

Dubman besides the bjp’s silence for two months while the conflict was raging, I would say the violence had very little to do with religion.

Dubman Had a couple of discussions with friends and family, this is a conflict centered around land allocation. Religion is secondary.

alistair Sentiment certainly seems to be in India’s favour here. The Khalistanis in Canada are mostly made up of thugs, terrorists, and drug dealers causing all sorts of trouble in Punjab, India - with multiple killings, terrorism and also driving drug addiction at scale. If Canada is feeling all high and mighty about giving this lot sanctuary, chop out of some land in nova scotia or whevered, and give them their own state. Trudeau is a clown.

Difficult to have sympathy for any group that is responsible for this with plenty of other examples:

                    That’s fair enough.
Hasn’t India now suspended tourists visa for Canadians.

Dubman Not sure what the back and forth has been. But the big story from this week is Trudeau and the Canadians felicitating a Nazi… bet Alistair approved of that as well.
