Out of respect for their long careers, I gave this my full attention. I find Hairnan to be an excellent DJ, a great mixer, but unfortunately he plays semi erect prog, better than Nick I feel.
Iām not convinced of the vocal Nick is playing by the 35 minute hurdle, but thereās a fully erect 1994-esque PROG moment when the drop comes. I people-watched the rest as thereās a lot of turgid music being played and thereās one or two random Miami cokeheads and grifters appearing into shot straight out of GTA:Vice City.
Thereās the odd one or two that had a more sexual tone, usually played by Hairnan but overall itās what I expected. A lot of it is plodding shite, itās the kind of āsafeā emotional world-peace prog played at those ironic sunset bars for backpackers in Asia, mixed with the odd eyebrow mover, for example, the vaguely sexual (with mid-boner) track on the 1 full hour and 8 minute stretch.
I think the problem is this, they just play sunset boat party prog at every gig and thatās their thing. I think this type of music sometimes tries too hard to be UPLIFTING, I find it a bit cringey myself but thatās just me. The 2 boys seem to be having a good time though so fair play.
