alistair …summarised perfectly by a tweet just below that one:

Singers. Singing in tune. That’s important

Fontaines DC were very good (set on iplayer). Seems like the sound on the other stages is much better than the Pyramid.

    Heno Blawen

    Blawan

Heno was really good took no prisoners, still the best party going

what a surprise, pretty much the only proper techno act on the bill is the only decent show

Dan she’s 78 and the definitive Motown female star. She’s not auditioning for X Factor

Kendrick Lamar worthy of the headliner billing. Bitch don’t kill my vibe sounding fierce

alistair …Macca’s 80 and can still hold a note.

I like Diana Ross, was looking forward to her set, but whether she’s ‘the definitive Motown star’ or not, it’s not inaccurate to say her voice is shot. Thankfully, her backing singers and the crowd knew the tunes, so, hey ho…

Echo Saw them at Brixton last year. Beats kicked more live than on their albums and light show was nearly as good as the Chems. Atlas and Apricots were highlights

Unbroken1 sure, it was far from vintage but it was fun and she looks and moves great for 78. I had more of a problem with her set list. When you have a back catalogue as good as hers why play any covers

…honesty couldn’t get past the voice for long enough to assess the song choices. The crucifixion of ‘Love Hangover’ ended it for me.

I think most people will forgive a song in a different key or letting backing singers pick up a high note when performers reach a certain age, but as a legendary soul singer you are really exposed when you can’t carry the tune.

hugopal typo ! Wrecked tired, was loads other good shit on to, Pyramid stage isn’t great but the rest more then makes up for it

          alistair

Doesn’t sound like she brought joy to anywhere near 100 thousand people according to the Twitter feeds of many attendees.
