bosstrabs

Hot take.

Half you retards loved “Breezer” before it came out.

“Ohhhhhh coooorrrrreee is The Man Like playing Envelope Packet!?!?!?!?!?!? MENTAL! I want to kiss him on the lips”

EDIT yeah I kinda did to.

bosstrabs Got kicked out of Arc in New York for running to a corner of the dance floor and taking a massive bump because Sharam took over the decks from Dubfire. Could never get behind Sharam.

jonattonyeah Breezer was on Toronto, not Moscow. 🤓

First CD of Toronto is actually decent, the second one is shocking. Dug out the Afterparty-mixes lately, and they’re actually great. Even Sharam’s.

Old-Dutch I was at that! Went to a bunch of Elements nights… Did ya catch Shem play there with a broken arm?!?

        Dump? God you’re disgusting

Rhouses, did you ever happen to go to Sankeys and use the bogs?

I mean like every weekend from 1995 until it closed?

Old-Dutch Music was amazing. But as someone who was learning to DJ at the time, was incredible to watch him mix seamlessly with one hand… 🤯

The only one of their GU discs which was alright was Disc 1 of Moscow (skipping the Dido if you must).

bosstrabs Nope. I was listening Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg and Rage Against The Machine in 95. And I left England in 96.

Nah, that was an absolute shocker. Hideous vocal tracks everywhere. Any good track immediately followed by some absolute unlistenable shite, so you could never listen to even a 3-track sequence.

The Toronto Afterhours mixes were their only acceptable output for GU.

Weren’t deep dish the ones who remixed the “Nobody Listens To Techno” line from Eminem on loop, over a ridiculous (in a good way) techno beat. This was around 2002? Remember Diggers and Danny Howells playing it. Monster track.

Also, just saw Moscow’s tracklist, all of us were reaching for the lazers when the vocal on Rapture drops.

Always loved this off the Sharam effort -

Think it was them with Danny Howells

Isn’t one half responsible for the monster remix of System 7 - Spacebird that only Digweed seems to have a copy of?

Dubfire techno totally put me off techno. Worst come down of my life listening to his set live.

This however, is the beast of all beasts. Tore the roof off every single time I played it in a club.

Hursty is that literally taken from the actual mix he did? (Which still stands out as one of Diggers best ever)

Old-Dutch it was DDD - Techno. Deep Dish and Danny Howells yes. It came out on a white label in 2003 or so, I have it, excellent quality too, so must’ve been put out by them cheekily. Lots of people hated it, but I actually still love it.

LT42 probably, impossible to get hold it, I did message him on Facebook about 10 years ago regarding it, he replied saying it would be a good idea to release it but alas it never has. It almost sounded as though he’d forgotten about it

Hursty sounds like he mugged you right off there lol

He never wanted it to be released as he thought it sounded too proggy, lol - it’s head and shoulders above anything else he’s done in about 20 years.

Is there a link to that mix? Im due a wank
