My M1 Macbook Pro has been good to me. Got it for $600 because the shit start up I worked for last year shut down and was liquidating.

Ive had a dell XPS 13 for the last year or so. It’s small, powerful and lightweight. If you’re not looking for a mac, it’s worth considering.

LT42 Mid 2009 for me. Installed a new SSD and it’s very quick, but it’s getting more and more of a pain getting compatible software and browser updates.

seanc80 First one lasted 9 years, second 8 years, this one is into its 4th year and still like new.

If not wanting to go all out new-new I’d strongly recommend this powerhouse:

MacBook Pro 15 inch 2015 with 16gb Ram, 1tb SSD

I got the one with AMD graphics card (which has caused issues with rekordbox). But if not DJing, I’ve used it for photo and video editing and it was so far ahead of its time it is really powerful.

Considering you can pick them up used now for £700 ish it’s amazing that it never flinches.

It has all the original USB ports and a nice haptic touchpad too.

The m1 Mac would be my choice otherwise but you will need dongles for usb devices if DJing because every Mac after 2015 moved to USB-C.
