Been watching āThe Bearā, which is a good show, but why the fuss over a āChicago Italian beefā?
Having been to Chicago, this is one of the Yank dishes I can speak with a (tiny) bit of authority on.
It wasnāt a very good sandwich (or āsammichā as you cunts seem to call them).
For Brits, just imagine a really dense, doughy roll with thin-sliced beef in (like the silverside stuff you get in packets from the supermarket) and then some pointless bits of pepper and celery falling out of it that arenāt even held in by a proper sauce.
